This event is being organised in memory of renowned Kathak Guru Jitendra Maharaj ji by his disciples primarily by Padma Shri awardee Kathak dancers Nalini Kamalini
This event aims to bring forward the artistic and cultural fabric of India in its full glory. The event will have performances by classical dancers as well as folk dancers. In this event senior Padma Awardee artists will also perform and shall be felicitated.
It will also hold an art exhibition on the theme “Nrityam” in this, prominent painters will exhibit their paintings based on the theme of dance. There will also be live demonstration of paintings by senior artists on themes of realistic, semi realistic folk, abstract, landscapes etc.
Besides this, many literary events will also be held during the event such as Kavi Sammelan. Emphasis will be put on the promotion of Hindi language.
Moreover there will be a food court where various cuisines will be available for food lovers. Artisans and craftsmen would also be given space to exhibit their works and display their skills.
The ambience at the event would be all inclusive in which people from all walks of life will be given a fair chance to perform and reach out to audiences with their skills.
The organisers are also planning to hold a fashion show at the event where traditional Indian dresses will be put on the ramp worn by men and women of all ages.
Over all the event is going to be a feast for art connoisseurs and lovers. Many people from senior political circles, industrialists and prominent personalities have expressed their willingness to attend the event. The patrons for the event are Padma Shri Nalini- Kamalini and V.P.V. Yugmoorthy.
