Previously, in Sakamoto Days we witness Shin training in the JAA prison, however, it hit an unexpected obstacle after the prison warden made an appearance, who turned out to be far tougher opponent than Shin could handle.

Sakamoto Days Chapter 182 begin with Shinโs training meeting an obstacle. Though Boiled cleared the air and revealed that he has no personal grudge against Shin, however, as Shin had already picked fights with other inmates, he is being compelled to confront him.
The scene than shifts to Heisuke, who cautioned Shin, as he reminds him that Boiled has once fought with Sakamoto. Despite being warned, Shin was ready to fight, however, he was soon surrounded by armed guards.
After a brief moment, Jo Shackles, the head guard of the Prison B1 reached the scene. Witnessing his presence, even Boiled seemed unsettled and he telepathically warned Shin to stay silent if he didnโt want to get killed.
Meanwhile, Shackles questioned Boiled about who was responsible for maintaining order in B1. When he replied that it was Shackles, the head guard then shot him in the knee as he got displeased with his delayed response.

Afterwards he made it clear that his intend to keep peace in B1 and that he had a deal with inmates and anyone who would challenge him will be sent to a lower level of the JAA prison.
However, we saw that in a bold move, Shin struck Shackles in the face, leaving everyone stunned around them. But his goal was simple as he wanted to be sent to the lower levels.
Though, after getting punch from Shin, Shackles examined his ID, smiled, and asked what business he had on the lower floors. Shin seems to have encountered his first major hurdle on his path to find the JAA fortune teller.

In Sakamoto Days Chapter 183, we can expect Shin to reassess his approach as he had to fight to grow strong enough to take on Uzukiโs gang.
