SAFF Women’s Championship Latest Results, Schedule, India vs Nepal Semi-final Match Schedule, And Other Details
In their third and final group game at the SAFF Women’s Championship on Tuesday in Kathmandu, the Indian women’s team was defeated 0-3 by Bangladesh. MS Jahan Shopna scored twice for Bangladesh while Srimoti Sarkar score once to complete the rout. India had already secured their place in the last four, therefore the loss had no effect on India’s ability to advance to the semifinals.
However, due to the loss, India finished second in their group and will face hosts Nepal in the semi-final on Friday. The India vs Nepal semi-final will be a rematch of 2019 edition SAFF Women’s Championship final, where India emerged victorious following a 3-1 win.
On the other hand, Bangladesh will play Bhutan in the first semi-final on Friday after topping their group with a flawless start. As per bookmakers and analysts, Bangladesh are the hot favorites to win the title owing to their superb run that included three wins and twelve goals in three matches.
