Like the inaugural season, six teams—Sunrisers Eastern Cape, Paarl Royals, MI Cape Town, Joburg Super Kings, Pretoria Capitals, and Durban’s Super Giants, all owned by franchise stakeholders—will vie for the championship.

In the forthcoming season, the triumphant team, to be crowned on February 10 at Newlands in Cape Town, will take home an impressive R34 million in prize money, along with the coveted trophy.
Meanwhile, the runners-up are poised to claim a share of R16.25 million, with the third and fourth-placed teams receiving R8.9 million and R7.85 million, respectively. The fifth and sixth positions will also secure R2.5 million and R2.0 million each.

Individual awards, including Batter of the Season and Bowler of the Season, come with prize money of R200,000 each.
The introduction of the “Rookie” category in Season 2 intensifies the competition for the Rising Star of the Season, with a prize of R100,000. Eathan Bosch, the all-rounder from Pretoria Capitals, currently holds the Rookie Player of the Season title.
