SA20 2023 prize money revealed

SA20 2023 is the latest edition of Cricket South Africa’s franchise-based T20 league, which is organised in collaboration with the newly founded Africa Cricket Development. The primary goal of establishing the league is to revive the sport’s declining popularity in the country.

However, this is not the first league to be launched in South Africa; in prior years, Cricket South Africa launched several T20 leagues that did not achieve the desired level of popularity.

To make SA20 2023 a unique and successful concept, the competition will include six teams comprised of the top cricketers from across the world. The SA20 league is also the most costly in South African cricket history, with a total prize money of R70 million (close to 34 crores INR).
