I haven’t been loving volume 9 of RWBY as much as past seasons, but episode 7’s portrayal of trauma and PTSD is extremely well done and I seriously commend them for going there.

Fans were left in a cliffhanger after the previous chapter ended with Jaune launching himself to the Crescent Stone, which he saw while falling.
RWBY season 9 episode 7 recap
Episode 7 features Jaune, who is climbing one of the shores at the Jungle Acre. Jaune wonders about his exact location and after slashing at some of the vines nearby he finally arrives at a tree with a ticking clock.
Jaune plucks the stopwatch from the tree, and realizes that time starts to travel backward. When Jaune realizes this, he starts panicking and tries to find out how to stop the watch. He eventually manages to destroy the watch using a Crocea Mors.
Jaune then wonders if he will ever reunite with the rest of the RWBY members. He soon notices two blue beams of light falling from the sky when he looks into the sky. Jaune gets worried and asks Team RWBY about the blue beam, who then reassures him and hugs him.
Team RWBY then asks Jaune many questions regarding what really happened during the fall of Atlas. The RBWY members and Jaune then exit the garden and enter the Field Acre. When they arrive, RWBY starts discussing about what Jaune told them. Meanwhile, Jaune stressed out because he thinks that they should take shelter quickly before the weather gets worst over time.
Later, the RWBY members ask Jaune about their destination, and he replies saying that they are heading towards his village. Meanwhile, Jaune wonders how the team escaped the Crimson Castle, and how they escaped without help.
Blake later explains that they actually help and also showed concern about the safety of the Curious Cat. Jaune gets sad while the group exchange looks among themselves. However, the curious cat suddenly shows up and apologizes to Juane while greeting him. The cat tries her level to reconcile with him.
