-In 1992 won the 3rd Asian Marathon Championship Gold.
-Having won international marathons in Asia in Bangkok, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, Japan, Egypt, Holland,
-Among top ten in Paris, Melbourne – Australia, Macau, Poland, Italy, Istanbul, Belgrade, Las Vegas Marathons.
Australia – Melbourne Marathon 1992 (5th Position), Holland Marathon 3rd Position in 1993.
-Participated in the World famous Boston (1985), Berlin (1992) & London Marathons (1990-91).
-In 1998 won the Bronze in the 6th Asian Marathon Championship in Bangkok.
– Dr Sunita is holding the LIMCA Book of Records for winning the maximum number of Intโl Marathons by any Indian- 76 full Marathons and 123 Half Marathons.
-She was an Olympic Torch Bearer/Escort Runner at the Atlanta Olympics 1996.
