Rugby World Cup 2023 tournament format
The tournament features a group stage in the first round with the top two teams from each group (A-D) moving on to the knockout phase. The knockout phases begin with the quarterfinals, semifinals, and then the bronze final for third place followed by the final. During the group stages, teams will win four points for a win, two for a draw and zero for losses.
Aside from that, teams can also win a bonus point for scoring four tries and/or losing by fewer than eight points. - The team with the best points difference in pool matches
