Although today’s time is one where decency has gone for a toss with any kind of gratitude being thrown out of the window, Romelu Lukaku’s actions would have even given the devil chills in hell.
Showing that its plausible to hit a new low and sink further in the trenches of modern day football, the Chelsea striker decided to berate the club which he had called his home only six months back. However, for someone who has kissed the badges of five clubs in his career already and claimed he’s at home at each of them, Lukaku’s antics are hardly unprecedented.

The striker went onto belittle both Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel in an interview given to journalist, Matteo Barzaghi, one where he spoke about how he yearned to return to Italy. He also went onto claim he really wanted to join Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich with him settling for Chelsea only once an offer didn’t come from them.
He also lambasted Thomas Tuchel and his football. While Lukaku has since been dropped from the Chelsea squad for the club’s matchup with Liverpool, he’s bound to face further action especially after it has now emerged he told Barzaghi off the record that he wanted to leave Chelsea instantly.

Marco Barzaghi, the brother of Matteo who was the journalist who interviewed Lukaku has gone onto say: “Lukaku only wants to return to Inter, he is already tired of London, tired of living in England. Romelu told my brother off the record that he wants to return to Inter NOW.”
