Romain Molina has accused Ghana and Cameroon of bribing.

The French investigative journalist Romain Molina has levelled serious accusations against the football federations of Ghana and Cameroon. Romain Molina Claims Ghana And Cameroon Received A Bribe From Players To Play In The FIFA World Cup

Molina claimed that although some players bought to be included, others paid to play for them in the World Cup games, accusing both the federations of corruption and politics. In a French-language video posted to his YouTube page, he broke the news. He claims in the video that, with the January transfer window about to open, the World Cup has turned into a hotbed for agents to shape players’ public perceptions to increase their value.

Both nations’ federations have not responded to the accusations.

Molina’s accusations have received no response from the federations of either nation. Anyone who pays careful attention to football, however, knows that there is corruption in the continent’s game. Ahmad, the head of the Confederation of African Football (Caf), was subject to a five-year FIFA ban and a $220,000 fine in November 2022 after a corruption investigation. He broke FIFA’s code of ethics, which was the official explanation offered.

Molina had before charged that the government of Cameroon had used influencer payments to hide scandals at the AFCON. He claimed that in exchange for their visits and lucrative contracts, the government of Cameroon required journalists and influencers to speak favourably of the nation. He also sent a copy of the contract that Cameroon, according to him, offered.

Both Ghana and Cameroon were back home after the group stages.

Both Ghana and Cameroon were unable to advance to the World Cup quarterfinals. In group H, Ghana was defeated by South Korea while winning against Portugal and Uruguay. On the other hand, Cameroon lost all of its games in Group G.
