The 36-year-old veteran is only the second player after Virat Kohli to score 5,000 IPL runs for a single team.

Rohit Sharma IPL 2023 stats
Ahead of the IPL 2023, most commentators and cricket experts didn’t consider MI to be one of the favourites to win the title this year. The team missed Jasprit Bumrah’s services and also failed to secure the signings of any world-class bowler during the auction. Moreover, Jofra Archer’s availability also remained uncertain.
MI’s performances in the opening two games also seemed to further cement this perspective. However, under Rohit Sharma’s leadership, the team managed to bounce back and win eight of their next 12 games. As a result, MI have managed to make it to the playoffs. So far, Rohit hasn’t had his best record at the IPL 2023 but the has scored a respectable 324 runs in 15 innings with a strike rate of 133.33.
