Robert Lewandowski (Poland)
Robert Lewandowski plays as a striker for Bundesliga club Bayern Munich and is the captain of the Poland national team. The 32-year-old is Poland’s most-capped player and all-time top scorer. He had a best scoring season in the Bundesliga with 41 goals, which broke a long-standing record of Gerd Müller’s Bundesliga record for most goals in a single season.
Many believe Lewandowski would have won the 2020 Ballon D’Or, if the prestigious award was not cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, Lewandowski won the Best FIFA Men’s Player Award becoming the first Polish player to win the award. He also won the UEFA Men’s Player of the Year Award. He is widely considered as his nation’s greatest player ever. He will be keen to make this one count.
Milan Škriniar (Slovakia)
The 26-year-old plays as a centre-back for Serie A club Inter Milan and the Slovak national team. He had joined Inter Milan in 2017 and has established himself as one of the best modern defenders in Europe. He was a key player in Inter Milan’s first Serie A title in a decade. Milan Škriniar has excellent passing ability and has strong tackling skills.
Gerard Moreno (Spain)
The 29-year-old plays as a striker for Villarreal and the Spain national team. The striker comes to the tournament in a great form and had an impressive season for Villarreal. He finished the season for Villarreal with 30 goals and 11 assists in 46 games last season, in all competitions. He is a vital player for Spain.
Alexander Isak (Sweden)
The 21-year-old plays as a forward for La Liga club Real Sociedad and the Sweden national team. Started his professional career with AIK in 2016 and made his debut for the Sweden national team in 2017. He is the youngest ever goalscorer for both AIK and the Sweden national team.
He had a great season for Real Sociedad in La Liga and must try to continue his form into Euro 2020. Alexander Isak scored 17 goals in La Liga for Real Sociedad this season. Euro 2020 is his first major tournament and thus it will be crucial for Isak.
