Jammu&Kashmir’s 350-run score wasn’t enough to secure them a semifinal place in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. Shubham Khajuria and Henan Nazir both scored a century and posted a great total on the board in front of Assam. Shubham scored 120 runs and Nazir who bats at No.3 for J&K scored 124.
After putting up a mammoth total on the board J&K bowlers picked early wickets of the Assam openers as well in the first 10 overs. The momentum completely shifted the moment Parag walked into the crease. He along with Rishav Das toyed with J&K bowlers and made a huge total of 350 runs look a lightwork.
Riyan Parag was the star of the day as he scored 174 runs off just 114 deliveries belting 12 fours and 12 sixes during the course. His staggering hitting made him reach to the three-figure mark at just 77 balls.
His partner Rishav Das was unbeaten throughout the innings as he also completed his hundred as well. Das took the duty of taking Assam home once Parag was caught out in the 43rd over of the innings.
The score of 350 runs was chased inside just 46.1 overs thanks to the 277 runs stand between Parag and Das.
