This year’s theme for the competition is “Big Time” and makes a stunning comeback with the Tyson Fury versus Francis Ngannou fight. Moreover, fans and attendees can rejoice as the excitement will continue for months across from October to potentially March.
Riyadh Season history and origins
The Riyadh Season initially launched in 2019, and has since taken place every year. The major event usually begins around October followed by Diriyah Season in November. Both of the events usually end by December or January, but this year’s Riyadh Season could last even longer. The Riyadh season is generally divided into zones, featuring its own unique themes and activities, alongside live performances from international and local artists.
Last year’s edition kicked off with a performance from Anne-Marie in the opening ceremony and also received a Guinness World Record for the most remote-operated drones launching fireworks simultaneously. Riyadh Season 2022 also served as a haven for foodies, featuring pop-ups from Carbone and CLAP. The Little Riyadh zone also featured permanent restaurant openings like Joe and The Juice and Parkers in the Diplomatic Quarter.
Riyadh Season 2023 date and venue
Riyadh Season 2023 began last week , on Saturday October 28 with multiple undercard fights ahead of the highly anticipated Tyson Fury v Francis Ngannou bout. The event began with a massive opening ceremony at the brand-new Kingdom Arena. During the ceremony, the entire stadium lit up in red, green and purple before featuring performances by Becky G and other artists.

Riyadh Season 2023 concerts and mega-gigs
Notably, the upcoming event will also feature 33 shows and concerts across the following months. The concerts and shows will feature top international and regional performers. As of now, the organizers have not revealed the full list. Last year, famous artists like Imagine Dragons, BLACKPINK, and Amr Diab all performed. Notably, Abdul Majeed Abdullah will perform at the Boulevard World opening on Thursday, November 2.
