The fans kept screaming Rishabh Pant’s name while Lyon tried to concentrate on the game.

There is a history between Pant and Lyon in Test cricket. Throughout the previous two Border-Gavaskar trophy series in Australia, the two engaged in vicious on-field brawls.

Pant is currently unable to play because of an accident that occurred in December.

Meanwhile, Team India’s top-order played well to bring their team back into the match while Australia scored a big total of 480 in their first innings.

Shubman Gill set the tone with a magnificent century, his second in the Test format.

Cheteshwar Pujara Rohit Sharma (42), and Virat Kohli all made contributions to help India end the Day well.

On Day 4, Virat Kohli narrowly missed scoring his eighth double-century as he holed out to Marnus Labuschagne off Todd Murphy’s bowling to complete his difficult innings at 186 runs.

India’s innings concluded 571/9 and a 91-run advantage over the Baggy Greens was formed when Shreyas Iyer’s injury made Kohli the last man.

After the fourth day, Australia was three for no loss in their second essay, with Matthew Kuhnemann (0 batting) and Travis Head (3 batting) finishing their six overs in the final session.

India will want to win this game as well as the 3-1 series to go to the World Test Championship final.

If Sri Lanka wins this match plus their current series against New Zealand, which they are presently leading 2-0, they will face Australia in the World T20 Championship final.

If India draws and Sri Lanka fails to absolutely crush the Kiwis, Australia and India will play in the World Team Championship final at the Oval in June.
