The situation for Rishabh Pant is becoming worse. Following his dismal batting display in New Zealand, Pant has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Bangladesh due to a back problem. He was immediately removed from the ODI squad and won’t be participating in the remainder of the series.

The most perplexing issue, though, is why Pant travelled to Bangladesh if he had been hurt in New Zealand. Exactly why did the team management need his presence? These inquiries even incensed the BCCI.

A senior BCCI official publicly enquired about Pant’s fitness after seeing Pant struggle with his back during the New Zealand tour. “Everything is good with the Indian Wicket-Keeper,” the team management replied.
The board therefore gave the go-ahead for Pant to travel to Bangladesh. Again, the board was informed that Pant was unable to take part in the opening game. Unhappy, BCCI decided to immediately remove his name from the team for the ODI Series along with the release that accompanied it.

Shortly after the squad was made public, Rishabh Pant was not initially named in the starting lineup for the opening ODI match against Bangladesh. According to a statement the BCCI made on its Twitter account, Pant has been excluded from the three-match ODI series and is being checked by a doctor. Currently, no successor is in place.
The first sign of Rishabh Pant’s back problem appeared during the third One-Day International match in Christchurch against New Zealand. After being cheaply dismissed, Rishabh Pant was seen seeking medical assistance for his injured back.
The injury’s specifics are unknown, but it unquestionably raises concerns about the BCCI’s medical staff’s performance. Was an injured goalkeeper being used to replace Sanju Samson, who was requested to return home after the New Zealand tour?
Rishabh Pant’s performance has also been subpar. He only managed to score 31 runs in two innings against New Zealand.
