And, seeing how his loyalty was abused, he determined to put an end to it all in his new life as a cop.
To make matters worse, he entered the body of someone who was already a member of the police force. This meant he had access to the information the cops had uncovered on the group. And if not, he’ll have plenty of opportunities to confront his old allies, but none of them will anticipate him coming.

For those not sure, in the last chapter i.e, Chapter 16, the police force had to contend with a swarm of zombies. They had arrived to catch a criminal who was acting more like a commander than an adversary in the circumstance. He would make an offhand remark on how they were doing it wrong and how it might be done better after every step they made.
However, his comments were not heard by the soldiers beneath him as they fought the mob.
