Sadly, that final comment is completely unnecessary because Rockstar has already very well cemented its coffin.

Before Red Dead Online’s burial, Rockstar Games released an update outlining its future.
“RDO will not receive additional any more major thematic material releases, although GTA will still be sustained with a new seasonal upgrade. Annual and seasonal events will still take place. But RDO support will change as Rockstar devotes more efforts to Grand Theft Auto V.”
It’s a terrible tragedy since Red Dead Online has never received the same level of support as Grand Theft Auto. And Red Dead Redemption 2’s vast environment and fantastic community had so much promise.
It will be a year next week since Rockstar last enhanced Red Dead Redemption 2’s online aspects. With no resolution in sight to the tournament’s dry period, users desperate for fresh content are planning a funeral to honor the milestone, and may eventually abandon Red Dead Web.
