Barcelona and Real Madrid stopped following both players because of this. Both clubs may have stopped following their famous players because they are rivals and not lovers, and each player is meant to honour the club or show that they don’t support a gay relationship.
Some fans were very surprised when Iker Casillas and Carlos Puyol said they were dating, and they said bad things about them online. Others replied that they loved them because football is a beautiful sport and that they made their clubs better.

Iker Casillas is a legend in Madrid, and he is the best goalkeeper in the history of Real Madrid and in the history of football in Spain. He joined the club when he was 9 years old and played for the Whites for 25 years. During that time, he became one of the club’s most important figures and won the respect, love, and admiration of Madrid fans.
On September 12, 1999, at the San Mamés, Iker Casillas played his first game with the first team. He went on to play in 725 official games and win 19 titles. He also won a World Cup and two European Championships with the Spain national team.

He became a regular defender for Barca B very quickly, and on October 2, 1999, he finally made his long-awaited debut with the first team.
