RCB Unbox Event 2024
Ahead of the start of the new IPL season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru held their annual Unbox Event 2024, unveiling their new jersey and kits in front of their fans. The event, which took place at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, featured over 25,000 fans in attendance. The Unbox event is an annual pre-IPL event where the franchise reveals the whole lineup and new changes with much fanfare. The event featured various musicians, like Alan Walker and Raghu Dixit, who kept the crowds entertained with dancing and singing. The team presented the Norwegian DJ Walker, with a jersey with the number zero and his name.
Captains Faf du Plessis and Smriti Mandhana, alongside Virat Kohli, unveiled the new jersey and logo during the event. The team’s new jersey, which previously featured a combination of red, black, and gold, now consists of predominantly red and blue with a slight touch of gold.

Before the big reveal, Virat Kohli came on stage and shared his excitement, saying:
Idhu RCB ya hosa adhyaya (this is the beginning of a new chapter for RCB)”
Notably, the crowd went wild during the event, with cheers of ‘aarceebee’ getting louder every time a member walked out to the field,.
R.Vinay Kumar joins RCB Hall of Fame
Aside from the official unveil, the team also held a special program at the RCB Unbox Event 2024. The franchise added former India pacer and Karnataka’s captain, R. Vinay Kumar, to the RCB Hall of Fame. Kumar played for the team across five seasons and will join the likes of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers. While acknowledging the recognition, the 35-year-old shared:
Hopefully we can double it up with the trophies. That will be something truly special, said Kohli while congratulating the women’s side for the WPL win. I will try my best with my ability and experience to do it for the fans and franchise. It is a dream of mine as well to know what it feels like to win the IPL.”
