Domestic Career
In 2005, Jadeja made his debut for India as a member of the Under-19 team. Jadeja was only 16 years old at the time. After that, he was selected to play in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Following his strong showing in that competition, he was named vice-captain of the 2008 U/19 Cricket World Cup, in which he was instrumental in India’s triumph.
In 2006-07, Jadeja made his first-class debut for West Zone in the Duleep Trophy and Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy. In 2012, Jadeja became the first Indian player to hit three first-class triple century in his career, and the ninth overall.

Test Career
The 2012–13 Ranji Trophy season got off to a great start for Jadeja. In four bouts, he scored not one, but two 300+ scores. This earned him his first call-up to the test squad. Jadeja was invited in to join India’s 15-man Test squad. At Nagpur, Jadeja made his Test debut against England in the fourth Test. In his Test debut Jadeja bowled 70 overs and finished with the figures: 3/117.
