First Five Minutes of Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out
The first five minutes of the upcoming film Rascal Does Not Dream of a Sister Venturing Out, which adapts the events of the eighth and ninth novels in Hajime Kamoshida’s Seishun Buta Yar book series, were just released on the YouTube channel of distribution company Aniplex.
Returning from the previous film adaptations of this story are director Soichi Masui, character designer Satomi Tamura, and scriptwriter and composer Masahiro Yokotani, all of whom work for the film’s production company, CloverWorks.
Kaito Ishikawa plays Sakuta Azusagawa, and Asami Seto plays Mai Sakurajima in the film. Kaede Azusagawa (Yurika Kubo), Tome Koga (Nao Tyama), Rio Futaba (Atsumi Tanezaki), Nodoka Toyohama (Maaya Uchida), and Shoko Makinohara (Inori Minase).

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dreaming Girl (2019) is getting a sequel. CloverWorks, the same production firm that did the previous installment, announced it around mid-2022 and would be adapting it.
The protagonists in this story are high school students. Characters like Sakuta and Mai live out the high school experience, complete with all the requisite romantic and comedic angst. Kaede is also a major character and one of the film’s driving forces; she has a lot of trouble venturing outside.
Due to the fact that Kaede is gradually becoming accustomed to the procedure of stepping outside, she is beginning to have a significant goal: to go outside and join her brother’s high school, which is going to take an entirely new level of adaptability from her.
