On January 29, 2017, he made his Twenty20 debut for Punjab in the 2016–17 Inter State Twenty-20 Tournament. On 5 October 2019, he made his List A debut for Punjab in the 2019–20 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He made his first-class debut for Punjab in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy on February 12, 2020. He was purchased by the Mumbai Indians at the auction for the 2022 Indian Premier League competition in February 2022.

Domestic Career
In the Punjab Inter-District Championship in 2012, Ramandeep ascended through the ranks with the Mohali U-16 team, scoring two century. In the Punjab U-19 Inter-District Championships four years later, he hit a tonne and two fifties, followed by a mammoth inning of 193 against Jalandhar in the Katoch Shield in 2017. Ramandeep then sprang to prominence during the BCCI U23 One Day League, where he helped Punjab win the title by scoring over 300 runs with a century and two fifties.
In his First Class debut, Ramandeep was dismissed for a duck. However, the Chandigarh-born batsman top-scored in the second innings with a fast 69*, which, despite being in a losing cause, demonstrated his ability to take on the opposition with a daring approach. While Ramandeep has yet to cement his place in List A and will need more time in T20s, he has a strong suspicion that the experience, advice, and mentorship he had at Mumbai Indians would benefit his cricketing skills in the years to come.
