She has been a part of many international shooting events. Rahi Sarnobat finished her schooling at Usharaje High School and graduated from Vivekanand College, in Kolhapur.

Rahi’s father’s name is Jeevan Sarnobat and his mother’s name is Prabha Sarnobat. Rahi belongs to a joint family including her grandmother, uncles, and aunts hailing from Kolhapur. She took interest in shooting and began her training seriously at a tender age. In the starting years of her shooting, she practiced in Kolhapur where there wasn’t any proper range for shooting practice. Then later Rahi moved to Mumbai to focus on her shooting very seriously.

Rahi Sarnobat was firstly trained under her coach Ajit Patil in Kolhapur and after going to Mumbai Rahi was trained by Ms. Sheela Kanungo. Tejaswini Sawant, the Commonwealth Games Gold Medalist is Sarnobat’s inspiration.
After getting basic training from the coach Ajit Patil, Rahi took part in school shooting matches and did very well. Under the instructions of Sheela Kanungo, Rahi Sarnobat saw a level up in her shooting career. Rahi participated and won many medals in Maharashtra State Shooting Championship and Junior nationals before she moved into the senior national team.
In the year 2018, she was considered as National Champion in the 25m air pistol competition of the National Shooting Championship held at Gurgaon. She maintained the label in the following year at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

She made her international representation for India in the Commonwealth Youth Games of 2018 where she won her first international Gold in the 25m air pistol competition at Delhi.
In the year 2018 she was again in the limelight when she became one of the first Indian woman shooters to win the Asian Games Gold after she scored in a 25m air pistol competition in the Asian Games, Jakarta in Indonesia. She had booked her position in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics with her amazing. In the year 2015, she was also honored with Arjuna Award by the Indian government.
