Head To Head:

Prediction

Rafael Nadal and Alexander Zverev will lock horns at the semifinals of the Roland Garros for a place in the final. Both the players have been brilliant in their recent encounters where they knocked out top favourites, Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz respectively.

Nadal, who reached his 15th semifinals at French Open is a favourite in the match. Following Alcaraz and Djokovic’s departure, the 13 times Roland Garros champion showed why he is called “King of Clay” in an intense match against World No. 1 Novak Djokovic today to defeat him in four drastic sets.

On the other hand, Zverev removed heavy favourite Alcaraz which tells a lot about his potential. He has been regaining his form lately and won’t be easy on the opponent. Meanwhile, the 21-times Grand Slam champion is something else on clay with his brilliant comebacks and defensive play.

The only concern for Nadal is that it is noticed the Spaniard complained about his foot in several semifinals this season and after a long hard-fought victory against the Serb today that lasted for four + hours might affect him physically. Although there was no sign of struggle or discomfort only this can cause him trouble against Zverev in the semifinals.

The pick of the match is Nadal as his heavy ground coverage, forehand and defensive play will be too much for the German.
