This episode 8 opens with a reminiscence of Hyun-date Woo’s with Hae-in at an aquarium—an aquarium that was apparently reserved just for the two of them. Currently, Hae-in has decided to initiate the divorce process. Vincenzo makes assumptions about the divorce’s motivations while the proceedings are underway. Hae-in feels satisfaction in trying out Hyun-woo’s daily routines after she starts following them.
She visits the eatery where he often enjoys a bowl of rice soup by himself. She turns around to see no one, but then she hears Hyun-woo and his companion eating at the table behind her. While sharing a meal with him, she overhears their chat. He tells his friend that he still desires that life after everything, but that he should look for the good in the divorce. All he wanted was to be close to her. The existing situation of affairs makes her unhappy when she hears that phrase from him.
Soo-cheol’s world comes crashing down when she learns from Eun-sung that the resort can’t have 90 stories because the military base won’t be relocating from that location. He seeks assistance from Hyun-woo, who promptly resolves the matter. As the Hong family meets to discuss possible solutions, Soo-cheol enters and informs them that Hyun-woo has already come up with a plan that the military officials have approved of.
