Know what is Q Tour Snooker & 2022-23 Season Details
A series of snooker competitions called the 2022–23 Q Tour will be held over the 2022–23 snooker season. The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association’s second-tier tour for players not on the main World Snooker Tour is called the Q Tour.
Six events are scheduled, with the top money winner earning a spot on the main circuit for the snooker season of 2023–2024. The top 16 players who have not already secured a spot on the main tour for the 2023–2024 season will be granted entrance to a second competition, the WPBSA Q Tour Playoff, whose winner also receives a spot on the main tour.
Q Tour 2022-23 Season Format, Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, And Players List
Events will be contested across three days, with the exception of the playoff. There are 16 spots available on the first day, which is an open qualifying day. The 48 seeded players who qualified based on their positions in the 2021 Q School Order of Merit join the 16 qualifiers on the second day to create a field of 64 players for the first round before the main draw begins.
To decide the event’s winner, there are three rounds on the second day and three more on the final day. The top 32 eligible players from the 2022 UK Q School Order of Merit, the top eight players from the 2022 Asia-Oceania Q School Order of Merit, and the eight highest-ranked junior players who have not already qualified are included in the 48 who qualify directly.
The ongoing Q Tour event is the first one for 2022-23 season while the second event will run from 16th-18th September at Brighton’s North East Snooker Centre. Below, we take a look at the full schedule of 2022-23 Q Tour.
