Kenny Omega Tops The PWI Top 500 List 2021 Ranked At #1
Topping the Pro Wrestling Illustrated Top 500 List once again in 2021 after doing so in 2018, Kenny Omega has now joined the likes of Bret Hart, Steve Austin, John Cena, Triple H and Seth Rollins as the only wrestlers to have accomplished this on multiple occasions. And it’s funny how he’s the only one among them who has never wrestled for WWE.
The current AEW World Champion and AAA Mega Champion, the Canadian wrestler is not only an in-ring performer but also one of the executive vice presidents at All Elite Wrestling (AEW). In addition, he appears on Impact Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide. In 2018, analyst Dave Meltzer gave a seven-star rating to Omgea’s match against Kazuchika Okada and Wrestling Observer Newsletter also inducted The Cleaner into the 2020 Hall of Fame.
Founded in 1979, PWI is an American professional wrestling magazine sold internationally and they have published the Top 500 list since 1991. The wrestlers were evaluated for their performance between 1st July, 2020 and 30th June, 2021. The ranking criteria included in-ring achievement, influence, technical ability, competition and activity (minimum 10 matches total or 6 matches in separate months).
