But the Indian shuttler showed her mettle by beating the 33rd-ranked Yeo Jia Min in a nail-biting semi-final. In the first game of the match, Sindhu saved six game points and went on to win 24-22, 22-20.

In the second game, Sindhu had a comfortable lead, but Yeo Jia Min fought back hard and saved two match points before Sindhu won the game and the match.
Sindhu’s form had been bad since she got back on tour after recovering from a stress fracture in her left foot. The win was a big boost for her. Several tournaments, like the India Open and the All England Open Championships, ended too soon for the top shuttler.

The women’s singles final match of Sindhu is fourth in the order of play on court 1 and is expected to start after 3:45 PM IST on Sunday (April 2) as the first match of final day starts at 10 AM Local Time (1:30 PM IST).

In the final, Sindhu will try to win her first title of the season. On the BWF tour, she last played in a final in July 2022 at the Singapore Open. There, she came in second place.
