Amritpal Singh latest news
On 18th March, Amritpal Singh turned up at gurudwara at 1 pm and stayed there for 45 minutes, as per a report by The Indian Express.
Ranjit Singh, the priest of Nangal Ambian gurudwara, told that he was worried when Amritpal Singh and his men came to gurudwara as he thought that they came to create a ruckus. Amritpal Singh was accompanied by 4 men when he reached the gurudwara.
He has revealed that one of the four men with Amritpal Singh needed clothes to go to the “program.”
Priest said, ‘I was surprised but I did what they said and got my son’s clothes.”
As per the priest, Amritpal’s men inquired about ‘mahaul’ on the phone but they did not raise any suspicion at that time. Amritpal Singh asked the priest if he could use his phone. Amritpal took his phone and then returned it shortly and left.
Amritpal is declared a fugitive and a number of arrests have been made in Punjab. Internet services were also shut down in Punjab along with SMS services.
Punjab Police on Tuesday said, ‘they have got 154 people for disturbing peace and harmony in the state, the Inspector General of Police, the Headquarters Sukhchain Gill informed. While sharing different looks of Amritpal Singh, the IGP has appealed to people to disclose the whereabouts of the fugitive.’
Divulging the details, IGP revealed that Jalandhar Rural Police recovered a Brezza car with the number PB02-EE-3343, which has been used by Amritpal for escape.
“It comes to the fact that Amritpal Singh and his aides have also changed their clothes in one Gurdwara Sahib in his village Nangal Ambia and absconded from there on two motorcycles,” he further said.
