Ahead of the mini-auction, the franchise retained some players like pacer Arshdeep Singh, South African seamer Kagiso Rabada, and English batsman Johnny Bairstow.
The also retained several Indian all-rounders like Shahrukh Khan, Rishi Dhawan, Atharva Taide and Baltej Dhanda.
The IPL 2023 auction
Punjab Kings went all out in the mini auction splurging a massive ₹18 crores on Sam Curran. The franchise however, also brought in some few players at the base price of 20 Lakhs each. These players were Karnataka seamer Vidwath Kaverappa, Bihari all-rounder Shivam Singh and Mohit Ratne.
Besides them, PBKS also roped in Chhattisgarh’s left-handed batsman Harpreet Bhatia for ₹40 Lakhs, and Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza for ₹50 Lakhs.
