Favourite Teams Fail To Qualify For PMGC 2021 Super Weekend

The removal of two good squads came as a huge surprise. From the inaugural Super weekend, there were the Indonesian supergiants Bigetron Red Aliens and the Thailand squad Faze Clan. Bigetron RA lost out on the top spot by one position point, as they were tied with Deadeyes Guys in overall points with 41. Faze Clan also struggled to gain traction today, finishing in 20th place with only 21 points.

Apart from Faze and BTR, Damwon Gaming (DWG KIA) from Korea and BC Swell from Japan were the other two teams that failed to qualify for the first super weekend. Both of these teams appeared off-color and were outplayed by the League’s stronger teams. They came in 18th and 19th place, with 36 and 21 points, respectively. The four teams that were eliminated will try to make a comeback.
