The patch for PUBG 19.2 update is out, so let’s take a look at everything we know about it along with the release date and patch notes report
PUBG is still one of the most popular free-to-play battle royal games, and it was one of the first games to use the concept, even before Fortnite and Warzone.
According to SteamDB, it is still one of the most played games on Steam, and the developers are always adding new patches and updates to it.
Let’s look at what we know about Update 19.2 so far.
PUBG 19.2 Update Release Date, Patch Notes List, McLaren Crossover Event And Report
What About The PUBG Update 19.2 Release Date?
The Update is now available.
It can be downloaded on all devices where PUBG can be played. Crossover: The new update for PUBG has a crossover with McLaren, a company that makes high-end sports cars.
That means that in-game McLaren Loot Caches can be used to get a “McLaren GT Standard – Onyx Black” vehicle skin, costume, gear, emote, and more. Players can also put special McLaren skins on the Coupe RB vehicle, which they can do using the new “vehicle interaction” feature.
Here are some other additions that are unique to McLaren.
Players can also make “McLaren GT Standard – Silica White” and “McLaren GT Elite – Volcano Yellow” vehicle skins in the Workshop by using McLaren tokens from McLaren Loot Caches and the McLaren Crafter Pass. During the collaboration periods for PC and console, McLaren Loot Caches and the Crafter Pass are sold in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.
In addition, players can now use exclusive, customizable items from McLaren Automotive to make their own McLaren vehicles that fit their own style. In the Workshop, players can make their own exterior vehicle colours, brake callipers, wheels, and other parts that can be used to design their own vehicles. You can also show off the customised cars in the lobby.
McLaren Container Car: During the collaboration, each starting point on Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Deston will have a unique container car. Only the player and/or their teammates who open the container can ride and drive the vehicle. Once the match starts, the McLaren containers and cars will be taken away.
What About Patch Notes for 19.2?
The patch notes are here, and we can tell you everything about them. The PUBG website is where we got them.
What About Fixes for Live Servers?
Removed the line from the McLaren Prime Parcel that said, “If you don’t get a Set Imprint four times in a row, you are guaranteed to get one the next time you open.” The bug that let you wear both the Lucha Royale Mask and the glasses in the lobby has been fixed.
Profile and Mastery used to show different total kill counts because one of them counted kills made in Casual Mode. This has been fixed. When you change the language setting in the Training Mode lobby, the character no longer goes away and the screen no longer skips.
In Team Deathmatch, the wrong font was used in the Custom Spawn Kit menu.
On PC, the Coupe RB’s speed bug was fixed when you put on the McLaren skin and rode a Coupe RB that someone else had used before.

Deston
This update for Deston will add a new vehicle, a new weather feature, and several map improvements.
Food truck is a new vehicle.
The happy food truck is here at the Battlegrounds, but it doesn’t have any food. If a food truck pulls up in front of you, don’t expect to get something tasty. It means that enemies are coming to shoot through the open windows of the van.
- The Food Truck…
- Can carry up to 4 passengers.
- 2 in the front, 2 in the back
- Features a large vertical and open window on one side of the van.
- Has an awning positioned on the left side.
- Health/HP: 3000
- Max speed: ~107km/h
- Max speed (boost): ~120km/h
- Using the horn will instead play a special (and familiar) musical tune.
- Only available in Deston.
- Normal Matches, Custom Matches (Deston)
- Unavailable in Custom Match – Esports Mode.
What About the new feature of weather change?
With Deston’s new time-of-day weather feature, you can switch from dawn to early morning, late afternoon to sunset, or a sunny day to a stormy one. For a more realistic sense of time and mood, we are now making it easy for the lighting and weather to change from one state to the next during a single match.
- One of the following cycles will be randomly chosen for each match:
- Dawn to early morning
- Clear weather to stormy weather
- Storm to Clear weather
- This feature does not support a full day-night cycle – only a short progression cycle will be shown with no drastic change to the the sun angle.
- Only available in Deston.
- Normal Matches

What about animation refresh?
Remember our dev letter about the Animation Refresh that’s coming up? The update is finally here. The goal of this update is to improve the player experience by improving and refining the way animations look in PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS while keeping the same timing and strategy.
The motions should feel new but familiar, and a lot of care and work went into making sure that the timing didn’t change.
Weapon Operation
All of the movements for operating weapons (both FPP and TPP) have been updated with more accurate movements.
Focusing on pace and weight makes an already intense and believable experience even more so.
TPP Locomotion
New starting and stopping moves have been added to the player’s set of moves.
Our characters feel more real because of this change, which helps them fit into the world.
What About New Item Heavy Stock?
Heavy Stock is a new stock that has a heavier feel. It gives you more options for weapons, attachments, and strategies.
The Heavy Stock may be the best choice for you if you like stability more than fast-paced combat throughout a match. It has less recoil but zooms in more slowly.

AI Training Matches now have a shoot indicator to help new players learn how to adapt and survive better. AI Training Matches are the only place where you can use the shoot indicator.
When bots shoot, the indicator will show the direction in which the bot is shooting.
Tutorial Reward
Since you can’t buy BP Random Crates at the PC Store anymore, the Random Crates that used to be rewards for certain Tutorial missions have been changed to:
- Reach Survival Mastery level 5: Raider Crate → Contraband Coupon x5
- Reach Survival Mastery level 15: Fall 2018 Crate → Contraband Coupon x10
- Visit the Career tab, Overview page: Biker Crate → 1000 BP
- Send a friend request to a friend you want to play PUBG with: Survivor Crate → 2000 BP
- Make a team with 2 or more players by inviting friends from the main menu, then start a match: Wanderer Crate → Contraband Coupon x5
After this update, the rewards for the above Tutorial missions will change for players who finish them.
Players who finished the above Tutorial missions before this update but haven’t gotten their rewards yet can get the new rewards.
You won’t get the new rewards for the Random Crates you already had in your Inventory before this update.
Training Mode
Many players didn’t know about the Spawn Tool because they had to press a certain key in order to see it. So, we made the following changes to make things easier for you.
Now, when you go into Training Mode, the Spawn Tool will appear on its own.
Players will also be able to choose from the last weapon and inventory preset they set up in Training Mode, a Beryl M762 preset, or an SKS preset.
In the 1v1 Arena, you can’t choose from these options.
New Interaction Key: Limited Interact
Since we are always making and releasing new features, we needed a second interaction key besides the F key (for PC) for situations where players use the same feature for different reasons at the same time. So, we’ve added a new keybinding called “Limited Interact,” which will be used to interact with many more features in the future.
- Limited Interact default keys
- PC: H
- Xbox/Stadia: LB + X
- PlayStation®: L1 + ▢
- Console players must head over to their custom controller presets to customize these keys.
- You may modify the keybindings, but you are unable to remove them entirely.
New System: Special Vehicle Skin
For a fancier experience, a new system has been added that lets you choose different skins for your vehicles.
- You are now required to press certain keys to equip vehicle skins.
- Two new categories have been added to vehicle skins: Basic Skins and Special Skins.
- These categories have been added to your Customize – Vehicle page.
- You can select one Basic Skin and one Special Skin to choose from when you’re in-game.
- Keys for equipping vehicle skins have been changed to the following:
- Use vehicle without equipping skin (Basic interaction key)
- PC: F
- Xbox/Stadia: X
- PlayStation®: ▢
- Equip vehicle skin (Limited Interact)
- PC: H
- Xbox/Stadia: LB + X
- PlayStation®: L1 + ▢
- Players who’ve been using the above keybindings for vehicle use will have to change their keybinding settings again after this update.
- Console players must head over to their custom controller presets to customize their keybinds for equipping vehicle skins.
- You may modify the keybindings, but you are unable to remove them entirely.
- Equipping vehicle skins
- The list of Basic and Special skins you’ve selected at Customize will pop up for you to select.
- If you’ve selected only one skin (either category) at Customize, the vehicle will equip its skin immediately.
- Vehicle skin equip effect
- A special effect has been added to vehicles when equipping skin.
- The effect will be canceled if:
- The vehicle moves (driving, collision, friction, etc.)
- A player gets in the vehicle
- The player moves too far from the vehicle after interaction
- The vehicle receives damage (tire damage included)
- When another player selects another skin
- If the effect is canceled, the vehicle will maintain its original appearance.
- If the vehicle received damage during the effect, the damage will remain on the vehicle.
- With the Roadster Motorcycle no longer a world spawn vehicle, the El Solitario Desert Wolves skin has been categorized as a Special Skin.
Collaboration: McLacren
- Dress your Coupe RB with McLaren skins!
- McLaren vehicle skins are purchasable as Special Skins.
- The Coupe RB’s original features will not be affected by the McLaren skins.
- McLaren Container Car
- At the beginning of the game on Erangel, Miramar, Taego, Sanhok, Vikendi, and Deston, a special container car will appear. When you open these special container cars, you’ll find a car with a McLaren skin on it.
- These container cars can be used by players who have a McLaren vehicle skin.
- The player who opens the box and their teammates are the only ones who can ride and drive the McLaren.
- Up until they get on the plane, players can do things with these containers.
- Once a match starts, the containers and the McLaren car will be taken away.
