The winner will not only lift the Supernova Trophy but will collect a cheque of Rs.120m, while the runners-up will receive a cheque of Rs.48m.

The PSL’s first season was likewise hosted entirely in Pakistan, although all of the games were played just in Karachi and Lahore.

In light of this, let us have a look at who are the champions of the PSL throughout the years.

Who are the Pakistan Super League champions?

For the first time since the T20 League’s existence, Lahore Qalandars, captained by Shaheen Afridi, surprisingly stunned the reigning champion Multan Sultans in the championship game.

The only team to have already claimed two tournament victories is Islamabad United.

When they defeated Quetta Gladiators by six wickets in the lone final that was played in Dubai during the inaugural season in 2016, they claimed victory.

When they defeated Peshawar Zalmi in the season’s championship game by three wickets in 2018, they accomplished the feat once more.

Islamabad has an exceptional record of never losing a PSL championship game. On the other side, Quetta Gladiators and Peshawar Zalmi have each only won one final and lost two.

Only three teams had competed in the tournament’s championship game when the 2020 season got off. However, the league saw two new finalists in the year that was ruined by the COVID-19 lockdown.

At Karachi’s National Stadium, the Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars squared off in the championship game. The Kings, led by Imad Wasim, beat their bitter rivals to win their first championship.

The PSL continues to thrill cricket fans as it has in previous years even though the last three seasons have seen three different champions.
