Find out the retained players list and teams squad for PSL 2024 ahead of the Pakistan Super League Season 9 auction
The Pakistan Cricket Board has already started plans for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in 2024 following their departure from the 2023 ICC ODI Men’s World Cup from India.
Pakistan exited the league stage after losing to England by 93 runs in their last match, placing them fifth in the standings. However, the board sacked its coaching staff following their exit from the ongoing World Cup as well and their caption also resigned from his captaincy across all three formats.

According to the PCB, Zaka Ashraf, the chairman of the PCB, met with the PSL Governing Council on Tuesday, November 14 at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore. The meeting included discussion of the PSL 9 draft’s tentative timetable, and all six franchise officials were in attendance.
“The flagship event is tentatively scheduled for Feb 8 to March 24, 2024,” said a PCB press release with the auction on December 19, 2023.
All of Pakistan’s well-known stars compete in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), one of the most significant events in the country’s cricket calendar, with a few international superstars in February and March.
All six clubs have announced their retentions, meaning that some players will remain in their current category while others will either be demoted or promoted. The draft for this tournament will take place in December.
The categories of up to nine players were improved. A few of players have also been relegated. Naseem Shah and Iftikhar Ahmed of the Quetta Gladiators have received a Diamond to Platinum promotion as per reports by My Khel. Sarfraz Ahmed was previously in Gold but is now in Diamond and many more, here is the list of players to get promoted and demoted:
