Pro Kabaddi League 2021 is all set to come back after a gap of more than two years, know about the auction, date, schedule, format, teams and players
Season 8 of the Pro kabaddi league will be taking place this year. Moreover, before the start of the season, there will be an auction taking place. The auction will take place from 29th August to 31st August. Also, before the auction, the teams will be given chance to retain their players from their squad of season 7. Additionally, more than 500 players will feature in the auction. All the players will be divided into four categories with different price tags.

Auction Format
More than 500 players will be categorized into 4 groups of A, B, C, and D. Furthermore, there will be four kinds of players into these categories named domestic, overseas, and New Young players (NYPs). All of them will be further divided into a raider, defender, and all-rounders.
All the players will be having different base prizes based on their categories. Here is the list of base prices for players and their categories:
- Category A: 30 Lakhs
- Category B: 20 Lakhs
- Category C: 10 Lakhs
- Category D: 6 Lakhs
The total price set by the officials for a franchise is going to be 4.4 lakhs. The player will consist of players who will not be retained by their franchise, Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India (AKFI) Senior Men’s National Kabaddi Championships of 2020 and 2021. There are also going to be some retain policies set by the officials.

The auction is going to be taking place from 29th August. Furthermore, it will last till 31st August. The auction is expected to be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
