Eight famous players were inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame for 2022. Sergio Aguero and Vincent Kompany are the ones from Manchester City. Didier Drogba is only one from Chelsea. Peter Schmeichel, Wayne Rooney, Paul Scholes  are the one from Manchester United. Also, Patrick Vieira, Ian Wright are from Arsenal. All these eight legends have been inducted into the Premier League Hall of Fame.

  • Wayne Rooney

Wayne Rooney made his mark on the Premier League and the world scene with a spectacular debut goal for boyhood side Everton against Arsenal, and he has since gone on to become one of the game’s best ever strikers. In 491 appearances, Rooney scored 208 Premier League goals, second only to Alan Shearer, and produced 103 assists, the third-highest total in the competition’s history. In a spectacular 13-year career at Old Trafford, bookended by two periods at Goodison Park, he won five titles, one Player of the Season award, and was selected Player of the Month five times.

  • Patrick Vieira

Patrick Vieira was a relative unknown when he arrived in the Premier League, but he departed having revolutionised the role of centre midfielder. At the heart of an Arsenal midfield that won three Premier League titles, the Frenchman brought a unique combination of force, aggressiveness, and talent.

His long-range smashes and late runs into the penalty area resulted in 31 goals, including the goal that ended Arsenal’s undefeated season in 2003/04, with the captain winning the Premier League Trophy after an unbeaten season.

  • Ian Wright 

After joining Arsenal in 1991, the striker set several records. Thanks to his goal-scoring prowess, he captured the hearts of Arsenal supporters. Wright led the team in scoring for six years in a row. He became the club’s all-time best scorer in 1997/98 until being surpassed by Thierry Henry. Wright played for West Ham United after winning the Premier League with Arsenal. Wright hasWright has scored a total of 113 Premier League goals in 213 appearances.

  • Peter Schmeichel

The first goalie to be inducted into the Hall of Fame is the Manchester United icon. Schmeichel won five Premier League titles during his seven years with the Red Devils. He made 310 Premier League appearances for the club, keeping 128 clean sheets. In 1995/96, he was also the only goalie to win the Premier League Player of the Season title.

  • Paul Scholes 

The Manchester United academy product is a midfield master. He went on to be a member of the club’s illustrious “Class of ’92.” With Manchester United, Paul Scholes won 11 Premier League championships and scored 107 goals in 499 Premier League games.

The Chelsea legend is the first African to get such a prestigious award. With Chelsea, the renowned striker won four Premier League titles. In 254 appearances with the Stanford Bridge team, he scored 104 goals. Aside from the goals, he received an individual award by winning the Premier League Golden Boot twice. In 2004-05, 2005-06, 2009-10, and 2014-15, he won the title.

  • Vincent Kompany 

In 2008, the Belgian joined Manchester City and quickly established himself as a crucial member of the back four. In 2011/12, he was named Premier League Player of the Season after leading Manchester City to their first-ever Premier League crowns.

  • Sergio Aguero 

Due to health difficulties, the former Manchester City player has just retired from football. Sergio Aguero, on the other hand, won Premier League championships with Manchester City and became the highest-scoring foreign player in Premier League history during his time there. In just 275 appearances for Manchester City, the Argentina striker scored 184 goals. Aguero will be remembered for scoring one of the spectacular late goals that handed Manchester City their first Premier League title against Queens Park Rangers.
