NINEISMINE, a flagship campaign by PRATYeK, is delighted to announce the second part of its groundbreaking initiative, Kidizens20 (K20)
In a world where young people constitute one of the largest demographic groups, their voices are often overlooked in crucial global discussions, including those held under the G20 banner. Recognizing the importance of including youth perspectives in shaping the future, NINEISMINE is proud to bring K20 Part II under the People’s20 banner.
The Group of Twenty (G20) serves as a pivotal platform for international economic cooperation, significantly influencing global policies. In India, PRATYeK’s NINEISMINE campaign has been fostering children’s participation in decision-making processes by establishing children’s parliaments in collaboration with NGOs from all states and Union Territories (UTs).
To harness the collective wisdom of young minds, PRATYeK, in partnership with child rights organisations, organized dialogues with children across India. These dialogues aimed to capture their perspectives on various G20-related topics aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
As the main G20 summit is scheduled for September 2023, NINEISMINE will host two crucial meetings on September 7th and 8th, 2023. During these meetings, children from all corners of India and beyond will finalize a set of recommendations that young champions have developed during the first K20 process.
The K20 Part II event will feature a panel of experts invited to provide their insights on the initial K20 ideas. The young champions will engage in discussions and prioritize these ideas through a voting and rating mechanism. On the second day of the event, the children will present their recommendations to key stakeholders.
