Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened a state-of-the-art museum dedicated to the country’s prior prime ministers and even purchased the first ticket to the “Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya.”
The museum will focus on the leaders’ political careers and contributions to the country, as well as taking visitors on a journey through the country’s history, particularly the war for independence.
As part of the “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” celebrations, the museum also honours the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

Officials said the museum will educate and sensitise the next generation about all of our prime ministers’ leadership, vision, and accomplishments. They also stated and tweeted that regardless of the prime ministers’ ideology, their contributions have been highlighted without bias.

Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya Features
Government officials said on Twitter that holograms, virtual reality, augmented reality, multi-touch, multi-media, interactive kiosks, computerised kinetic sculptures, smartphone applications, and interactive screens were employed to make the Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya more interactive.
The building’s architecture is based on the tale of India’s rise, as sculpted and moulded by its leaders. The museum’s architecture combines environmental and energy-saving measures, and authorities claim that no trees were felled to make room for it.
The sangrahalaya is built adjacent to the Nehru Memorial Museum Library in Teen Murti Bhavan and has 43 galleries. To build this museum no trees have been transplanted or felled and logo of this museum represents the hands of the Indian people holding the Dharma Chakra which symbolizes democracy and the nation.

The Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya which is dedicated to the contributions of all 14 past prime ministers of the country since Independence, is located in Teen Murti Complex, Delhi.
It’s Ticket Price
PM Modi paid for his ticket digitally, as he has done in the past, when he opened the Pune metro last month, as part of the government’s Digital India initiative.
The museum ticket costs Rs 100 online and Rs 110 offline for Indians, and Rs 750 for foreigners, according to news agency ANI.
Children aged 5 to 12 will receive a 50% discount in both online and offline modes. Students in college and high school will receive a 25% discount on bookings made by the institutions.

The premise of the whole museum was made on 15,600 square meters of land.
Budget Of Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya
The Pradhan Mantri Sangrahalaya’s building cost is Rs 271 crore, and it has tech-based interfaces that immerse visitors in the country’s history. The initiative intends to establish an atmosphere in which the country’s progress is traced with the help of each Prime Minister’s contribution to date.
