The official website can be accessed here for results and other details. While Dana White had announced a free giveaway of tickets before the league began with an Instagram competition, there is no further information on how to buy tickets.

Rules and format

The Power Slap League is quite simple to understand. Each match will feature two opponents who will face each other in bouts. Each bout will go for a minimum of 3 rounds and upto five rounds.

In each round, both the competitors will get to deliver one strike to their opponent’s face. While bouts can end by TKO/Kos, a 10-point-must scoring system will decide matches without TKO/KOs.

Venue

The UFC’s Apex Arena will host the Power Slap League.

Power Slap President

Much to the surprise of everyone, during the initial unveil of Power Slap Dana White revealed that he would not take charge of the league. Instead, White introduced Frank Lamicella, as the President of Power Slap. He was quoted as telling the media:

I’m not gonna run the day-to-day operations… Gotta thank him for the hard work that he’s put into this thing. Frank will run the day-to-day operations.

Following the introduction, Lamicella then addressed the media, and clarified what a foul would mean within the league.

Power Slap title belt

A part of the new Power Slap League, UFC President Dana White also unveiled the design for the championship belts. John Morgan, an MMA journalist, recently shared the design on Instagram with a breakdown of the design.

The title belt is made using genuine PVC leather and incorporates the Power Slap brand elements throughout the design. The unique blue design of the “SLAP” logo was specifically developed for the strap.

Besides the logo, the title belt also features replaceable side plates, which are meant to designate the weight class. The main plate of the title belt is composed of a zinc alloy. The title belt’s design also includes the depiction of the reverberations of a slap.
