Fans should note that the Pokkén Tournament requires a Nintendo Switch Online membership to download and play.

The news comes during a very exciting time for Pokémon fans, as Pokémon Go is also currently undergoing its World Championship Timed Research.
The codes for the World Championship Timed Research are given out on Twitch. Once the codes have been shared, you will need to redeem the codes directly.
Keeping aside Pokémon Go, fans will be excited to know that they can play the anime series’ Pokkén Tournament DX free of cost today thanks to the free play trial.
Pokkén Tournament DX Free To Play Trial Release Date
Nintendo announced the official release date and time for when the Pokkén Tournament DX Free To Play trial will come out as 10:00 PT, 13:00 ET, and 18:00 BST on August 18.
Nintendo of America confirmed the above hours courtesy of their official Twitter account. The Free to Play Trial will last until 23:59 PT on August 31, and 02:59 ET and 07:59 BST on September 1.
While the free to play trial is available, the full game is also available for purchase at a 30% discount rate. You can pre-download the trial right now from the Nintendo eShop and join in the fun.
How To Play Using The Free Trial
In order to download and play the Pokkén Tournament DX free trial, you will need a Nintendo Switch Online membership. If you currently do not have a Nintendo Switch Online membership you can simply purchase one.
