Regional competitions will be held during the next 2023 season, and many teams will use these competitions to qualify for the World Championship. There are two possibilities for teams to qualify for the World Championship:

  • 1) The teams who accumulate the most Championship Points (CP) in their respective regional belts at the end of the season will advance to the World Championship.

Players will receive CP based on how well their team performs in a series of regular monthly qualification tournaments. Depending on the region, different teams will qualify:

“CP will be retained by individual players to allow for team changes as the season progresses”

  • 2) The 11 Regional Championship winners will automatically qualify for the World Championships.

Eight teams advance to the monthly finals, which reward CP to the teams depending on their performance, after an open qualifier is held at the beginning of each month in each region.

Additionally, throughout the month of March, teams from a few selected regions will be eligible to participate in the Aeos Cup. Compared to the ordinary monthly finals, this special competition will provide significantly more CP and prizes. The regional finals in June will be the most crucial period for teams attempting to earn a spot in the World Championships.

Officials for the game have not yet made public all of the information on the Asian region.

The World Championship will be attended by a total of 31 teams from the regions indicated below this year. The most berths (four) will go to Japan, North America, and Europe.
