Noppert, who defeated Simon Whitlock in first-round by score of 6-1, defeated Wade by the same margin in second-round before coming back from 4-0 down to upset Campbell in last-leg shootout during Round of 16 tie. Van Duijvenbode, the runner-up in the World Series Finals, was the third Dutchman to advance to Sunday’s quarterfinals, and he gave the performance of the competition in his stunning 10-9 victory over Ryan Searle.
Van Duijvenbode will now play fifth-seeded Rob Cross for spot in the semi-final as Rob finished off solid 10-6 victory over Martin Schindler to progress for quarterfinal. In other matches, second seed Luke Humphries continued quest for his first televised championship with decisive wins against Mike De Decker and Krzysztof Ratajski. Humphries and Joe Cullen will square off in a tantalizing final eight match after the Masters champion eliminated rookie Scott Williams 10-7 in a thrilling last 16 match.
