Dabang Delhi, the finalists from the previous season, had a great start to the season, going undefeated in their first seven games, winning five and tying two. Naveen Kumar was the star of the show in those games, scoring seven Super 10s in a row. He was carrying the entire squad on his shoulders since he was in such good shape. However, he was forced to miss a few games due to an injury. Dabang Delhi’s spirits were lowered when the team began to lose games as the tournament progressed.
