Pictures Emerge Of Olympiacos’ Ruben Semedo Being Taken To Court After He’s Arrested On Charges Of Rape In Greece

Ruben Semedo has been arrested by the Greek police with the Portuguese accused of being involved in the rape of a 17 year old

The world of football has been fraught with allegations of rape over the course of the last week. After Manchester City’s Benjamin Mendy was arrested and suspended by his club owing to allegations of four charges of rape on him, Olympiacos’ Ruben Semedo has now been picked up by the police on the same charges.

Olympiacos’ Ruben Semedo Arrested In Greece On Charges Of Rape

The Portuguese international has been arrested in Greece after he was accused of raping a 17 year old. The victim who is not even an adult at the moment has told the police that she had met Semedo in a bar in Oropos for drinks last Saturday ensuing which Semedo took her to his house in Glyfada where he sexually assaulted her.

A second person has also been implicated in the case but he’s not been named publicly. Semedo was meanwhile taken to the court on Monday after the Greek police picked him up on the heinous charges.

Ruben Semedo Arrested And Jailed In Spain

Semedo who was linked to Premier League side Wolverhampton earlier this transfer window has been persistently embroiled in breaking the law. He was first picked up for being involved in a fracas in a bar in Spain, one where Semedo had gone onto draw his pistol.

He was arrested in Spain for a second time after beating up and kidnapping a man at his house before he went onto pursue a robbery at the victim’s house. Semedo was put in jail for the malicious incident as he was charged with attempted murder and placed in preventive detention.

He was eventually released from jail on July 13, 2018 after paying a €30,000 bail proceeding which he confessed to kidnapping, robbery, wounding and illegal firearm possession for which he was handed a suspended sentence and fined €46,000 along with being banned from entering Spain for eight years.
