However, the World Cup’s surprise package put on another strong performance on the big stage and was unfortunate not to score the equaliser their effort undoubtedly deserved.

Mbappe will participate in his second final before turning 24. The PSG player, who was obviously thrilled, posted on Instagram to share his joy. “BACK-TO-BACK WORLD CUP FINAL,” he captioned a photo of himself hugging club teammate Achraf Hakimi that he uploaded. He quoted, “Don’t be sad, bro; you made history, and everyone is proud of what you accomplished.”

Argentina to face France in the world cup final

The Lusail Iconic Stadium will play host to the thrilling World Cup 2022 final between Argentina and the reigning champions France on Sunday afternoon as the main event of the schedule. Les Bleus, who secured their spot in the final with a 2-0 victory over African trailblazers Morocco in the semi-finals, will take the field on the Lusail turf as the first champions in 24 years.

With a 3-0 victory against Croatia in the final four, Lionel Scaloni’s team prevented them from reaching the championship game twice in a row. As a result, the attention of the pre-match build-up has naturally been on one player.

Head-To-Head records

In 13 matches in all tournaments, Argentina and France will face off in the championship match on Sunday. The South American champions have won six of those matches, compared to just three victories for their European opponents, while three more have resulted in a draw.

The most recent matchup between the two teams, though, was in a thrilling 4-3 Bleus victory during the World Cup quarterfinals of 2018, with the thunderbolt from Benjamin Pavard still fresh in the minds of the France crowd.
