The leaked PFDK officials WhatsApp messages controversy has blown up in Turkish football
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) is currently embroiled in a major controversy after recently requesting the resignation of the Professional Football Discipline Board (PFDK).
According to reports, the TFF have based the allegations on leaked internal messages, while demanding accountability from within its ranks.

Unsurprisingly, the situation has drawn all kinds of responses from both the federation and from Fenerbahçe, one of Turkey’s biggest clubs.
Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Requests Resignation of PFDK Members
The Turkish Football Federation has formally asked all the current members of the PFDK to resign from their respective posts. The TFF have made their demands following a series of allegations that private conversations among board members that got leaked to the public. According to famous sports journalist Umut Eken, the TFF leadership initiated the request, following which PFDK members reportedly began drafting their resignation letters. The PFDK members have reportedly asked for additional time to release a formal written response and will expectedly publish it on the federation’s official website.
PFDK correspondence leak
The PFDK sparked controversy after a Turkey Newspaper columnist named Tahir Kum revealed the details of the leaked WhatsApp messages between PFDK members. According to Kum, the messages allegedly suggest blatant bias and unprofessional behavior from their side. Some of the members have allegedly acted as vocal Galatasaray supporters in the board’s group chat. One of the members reportedly shared a screenshot of their car’s odometer at 1905 kilometers, which was a clear reference to Galatasaray’s founding year.
Kum also made claims that several members of the group posted mocking comments like “Fener don’t cry”, while circulating humiliating videos targeting Fenerbahçe throughout the season. Kum further stated that all the screenshots of these messages are reportedly in the possession of Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç.
The messaged also targeted Fenerbache manager Jose Mourinho with the officials talking about how they would extract their revenge on him next season.

Fenerbahçe issues official statement
Following the incident involving the TFF and PFDK, Fenerbahce have issued a swift response with a statement published on the club’s official website. The club confirmed that it had formally contacted the TFF about the leaked correspondence, emphasizing the seriousness of the allegations. Fenerbahce have reportedly demanded full transparency and accountability, and pressured the federation to take further action.
