Peacemaker Season 1 Ending And Post-Credits Scene Explained, Breakdown Of Last Episode

In the Season 1 finale of Peacemaker, John Cena’s Chris and the A.R.G.U.S. crew went all out at the Coverdale Farm, a look at the explained ending of the show

One of Peacemaker’s helmets was put as a bomb to prevent the Butterflies from teleporting the large caterpillar (dubbed the cow) that supplied their sustenance to Maine.

They knocked down the farm with a series of sonic booms, injuring the cow and igniting a bloodbath in the field. Peacemaker dug deep to save his friends just when it appeared that the aliens had gained the upper hand. With that in mind, let’s explore the violent finale and post-credits scenes.

Peacemaker HBO Max Season 1 Show Ending Explained Bloodbath Occurred In Finale

When his crew rushed them to finish off the cow, Chris rocked his shield and weapon, killing aliens. A large number of Butterflies were injured by Vigilante, with new team leader Harcourt shooting the aliens apart with her firearms. They gave Peacemaker a window of time to sneak into the barn and fall into the cow’s cave.

Regrettably, Adebayo and Economos stood by and watched as Vigilante and Harcourt were killed. Adebayo was encouraged to rush into action and shoot the remaining invaders. Unfortunately, after previously demonstrating badass potential, Economos fractured his leg attempting to get into the firefight after an accidental trip, forcing him to sit out.

The Butterflies’ Real Mission Was Revealed In Peacemaker’s Finale

Because the cow was the mission’s priority, Harcourt sent Adebayo to assist Chris, who was being battered by Song. Just when it looked that Adebayo’s human torpedo helmet might rescue the day, she misjudged the target and slammed into the wall.

Song, who had been possessed by the Goff butterfly, did not want to kill Chris. She led him to the cow, revealing that they didn’t intend to kill humanity, but rather save it. They had abandoned their homeworld because poor judgments had destroyed it, and they didn’t want their new home to be destroyed as well. They were fed up with populist politicians persuading people to disregard science and reason, reject personal responsibility, and prioritise business above survival. The individuals they had were supposed to aid in the evolution of the world.

Chris Chose A Side In Finale

Song explained to Peacemaker that their job was the same: to kill in order to build a peaceful utopia, so she persuaded him to man one panel while she and Locke manned the others to dispatch the cow. Chris, on the other hand, deceived her when it appeared like he would assist her. As she stumbled into the room, he engaged Adebayo’s torpedo mode, sending her hurtling through the cow’s chest like a bullet.

It killed the beast, leaving Adebayo coated in blood and guts as he fell out. After killing the Butterfly and the human host, Chris shot Locke in the head before shooting Song in the stomach. After it burrowed out of Song’s mouth and flew away, he took a dishevelled Adebayo away while sparing Goff. Fortunately, Vigilante and Harcourt were still alive, and as the squad was leaving the scene, the Justice League arrived, only to be shouted out by Chris for being late.

The Post-Credits Proved Vigilante Cared

The stinger for this episode, like the others, elaborated on the events of the episode. It centred on the ever-wacky Vigilante debating sarcasm with Chris and Economos while plotting how to take down the farm. Chris needed to warn people when he was being sarcastic, or it might come across as bullying, according to Vigilante.

Economos was given as an example by Vigilante, who assured him that he was not overweight and that he would not die. It came to a close with Vigilante acknowledging that he was concerned about Economos, who thanked him in a grating tone.
