Serie A 2021-22 didn’t start well for Juventus as they won only one match before the game against Sampdoria. Injuries did the rest to make things worse. Paulo Dybala left the pitch after 20 minutes as the secondary striker met a thigh injury. Dybala’s injury is a big concern for manager Allegri as the Old Lady will be facing Champions Chelsea in the next UEFA Champions League game.
So, here are all the details about the injury of Paulo Dybala, including his return date.
Paulo Dybala Injury Update, News, What Happened To Him And Return Date
Dybala was in the starting XI for Juventus and was leading the attack. Moreover, he scored the opening goal to give a 1-0 lead. Just after few minutes, he outstretched himself to block the pass of one of Sampdoria’s defenders. Dybala landed awkwardly and was forced to leave the pitch. The scene was not a good one for Juventus fans as the striker seemed to be emotional.
The Argentinian who landed awkwardly on his thigh has suffered a muscle injury.
Manager Massimiliano Allegri said: “Dybala certainly won’t play against Chelsea or Torino. That is for certain. We can only hope that we get him back after the break for international duty.”
However, Juventus won the match somehow by 3-2 with the goals of Leonardo Bonucci and Manuel Locatelli. This was Juventus’s second win in Serie A and now, they have 8 points.
Dybala started the season brightly after having a bad season of 2020-21. Furthermore, the player only scored 4 goals last season in 20 appearances for Andrea Pirlo. Also, he was injured for a long time due to a Medial collateral ligament injury which kept him out of the pitch for 5 months.
This season Dybala started brightly for his new manager Allegri. It can be said that he was in his prime under Allegri. Dybala has already scored half the number of Serie A goals than the previous season. He has only played 5 goals this season.
