28-year-old French superstar Paul Pogba has once again captured the transfer headlines as reports in France suggest that his agent Mino Raiola has agreed on a deal with Paris-Saint Germain for a free transfer once his current contract with Manchester United expires next summer.

Manchester United resigned him from Juventus for then a world record transfer fee of €105 million which is still the highest amount of money spent by the English club. However, he came for big money and will now leave Manchester United with no money at this crucial time of the pandemic.

Pogba had a good last season with the club where he featured in 42 games for the club in all competitions finding the net 6 times and became a crucial part of the team that lost the finals of the Europa League.

Meanwhile, his troubles at Old Trafford still persist with the management as he was dropped out of the squad at the beginning of the last season which proved so effective as he regained his top form and was instrumental in Manchester United’s pursuit of the Champions Manchester City.

1. Paris-Saint Germain

French club PSG have emerged as top runners for the signature of Paul Pogba after the reports in France suggest that Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola met with the representatives of the French club and struck a deal for Pogba after his current contract at Manchester United expires.

Pogba had an amazing EURO 2020 with World Champions France who were shockingly eliminated from the tournament. Therefore, his performances caught the eye of everyone, and his extraordinary skill was showcased at the heart of the French midfield.

The deal between the two parties is set to be around 70 million pounds.

2. Real Madrid

Mino Raiola lured his client to the Premier League when he was regularly being scouted by Real Madrid in 2016. He threw him pedigree that he will secure him a transfer to Real Madrid after three years for another world-record fee but eventually that did not happen.

Real Madrid showed their interest to sign the French superstar in 2019 but the deal was not completed as Pogba had different plans at that moment of time. Following their poor financial situation right now, Real Madrid president Fiorentina Perez has made it clear that there would be no big signings this year.

3. Barcelona & Juventus

Spanish giants were planning a swap deal for Paul Pogba in exchange for Antoine Griezmann and Samuel Umtiti but the deal is currently off as Griezmann has made his intentions clear about not joining Manchester United having rejected them in 2019.

Juventus were also in the running to bring Pogba back to Turin but they are also in a difficult financial situation just like Real Madrid. It will be interesting to see where the French superstar lands after the expiry of his current deal at Old Trafford.
